She is funny. I mean “I-just-laughed-so-hard-I-think-I-peed-a-little” funny. When I first talked to Maria on the phone we talked for an hour. Honestly, I didn’t want to hang up. I wanted to go and have coffee and laugh some more with her. She was genuine, real, thoughtful, kind and you guessed it, funny. I knew that when I met her family that they would be two degrees past amazing…and they didn’t let me down.

Not too long ago Danny and Maria bought a dim-lit little house in San Clemente with an overgrown yard and lack of love. Maria walked in that house the first time and said, “no way.” But Danny had a vision. Danny saw this house for not what it was, but what it could be. Now they have not just a BEAUTIFUL house in San Clemente, but a HOME. A home that on the Saturday morning I met them was filled with glorious sunlight, impeccable decor, the sweet smell of hot coffee and fresh pastries, AND most importantly LOVE. The kind of love you just want to be around and soak in. (and a baby with cheeks you want to kiss forever) It was a photographers dream. Again I didn’t want to leave.

I guess when I started doing photography for a job, I knew I would LOVE meeting all the new people, but I had no idea how TRULY AWESOME my clients would be. Seriously. I am not just saying this to sound nice or make friends or give you a warm fuzzy feeling. I have had the pleasure of meeting people who touch my heart, people who inspire me to be a better person, people who I aspire to be like. Amazing people. I love my job. I am blessed.
