Having a shared passion with someone has to be one of life’s biggest joys to me. What is more fun that when someone falls in love with the same things you love?
Through an effort to get rid of headaches and begin feeling healthier in general, about a year and a half ago my dear friend Kristy started a new journey with her food: going gluten and dairy free. What started as a challenge has now become her passion. The girl who has always loved to bake, now also loves cooking and nutrition and all things related to both. I LOVE this side of her. I love seeing her feeling good and I love seeing the way she lights up when she talks about food. I have always believed in nutrition and the power of food, so having someone on my page feels pretty great too. But the best part? She is now practically a guru on the subject so I can ask her all sorts of questions. She is passionate, excited, doing all sorts of research and finding all sorts of recipes…and I get to glean it all from her. (SCORE FOR ME)
A piece of her journey is that she is now has this awesome food blog called Coconut Mama where she shares all of her yummy recipes, combines her love of food and photography as well (two things you know I love too!), and even shares which recipes have been successful with the kids (for all you mamas out there who think NO WAY would my kid eat healthy). I love being inspired, and Kristy is inspiring me in a major way.
So I am elated to share that this week’s Food Friday Feature is one of her DELICIOUS recipes!
Today’s Feature: Cashew Crusted Sea Bass with Mango Cream Sauce
Go and check out her blog, you will be so glad you did!
